So I never had to share Epcot Center Drive with a tram before...

So I forgot cardinal rule #1 for living through Florida summers... Even *if* its 100% sunny always take the umbrella cause the minute you try to take pictures... The sky will open and rain (and rain and rain)

So my 4 hour shift evolved into 7 and by the time it was finally time to leave I lost all ambition to hit the parks so this is as close as I got to hitting the parks today :(

and for the record its soooo much easier to take moving pics with a point n shoot instead of the SLR...

So I really like it when I leave work and can hear the faint strains of the Street Party at the MK to the point I get the songs stuck in my head and 'tube them to hear the whole version... I am also excited that I finally will get to restock my pictures as after my 4 hour shift for the lunch at work I'm heading to the parks for the first time in awhile (I am not a fan of the 90+ degree, 100% humidity thing)

Today was all about the flags... The group we had had brought all 50 state flags and 22 country flags and I got the task of putting them in alphabetical order

Not as easy as it sounds

but it did kill a few hours

So I finally got the cold/crap that has been circulating the office and for the first time ever since I've been back I left work early and came home and crashed.... Since I plan to re-crash in a few figured to post one of my favorites from this week...

One of the groups we have gave all their attendees starter sets of pins so we dug out the pin trading board, set up shop and they LOVED it- I brought in most of my "junk traders" for the board which gave them plenty of choices (since when you have 100 + people and only 3-4 styles of starter sets you get a TON of the same pin) and then today I took most of the duplicates to Epcot and traded them for tomorrows board. I do have to say though that trading 60+ pins in one day is my limit (and I think I hit every CM with a lanyard) and found none I personally needed...

Happy 15th Anniversary to the Tower- One of my favorite rides though I will say I like the entrance and queue better at WDW but I do like the DCA ride better...

While I did not eat in the China Pavilion I did eat at the Chinese Buffet on 535 today, and got in the now age old argument over food choices (White rice v french fries on which is weirder it eat at a chinese restaurant and if you know me you know which one I prefer...)

It never gets old... So today was the cast party for the opening of BLT that ended up in the convention center due to weather (Welcome to Florida!) it was pretty fun, food was good and it was great to have the mice there and great I got a pic of both of them :)

The stuff we have to carry around every day... Radio, Keys, Info Packet, T Handled 5/32 Hex Key aka the door wrench not to mention whatever else ends up in my pockets.. I miss the big ol apron I had at Mart- I could carry a LOT more things than the 2 mini pockets I have now...

One of the *very* few things I like about working early in the morning is getting to see the sun rise as I drive to work. Yesterday was no exception and now that most if not all the construction walls are down the 'temp makes for some nice pictures...

Happy Birthday Disneyland!

I do have to say that I really miss being in Disneyland on its birthday (and had a great streak going for awhile- 02/03/04/05) but am super excited to hit DLR at Christmastime this year so I guess I'll have to deal with being in WDW today...

For as well as the weather held for Endeavour tonight (AMAZING!!!) it sure hit on the drive home... Its like driving though a industrial car wash with strobe lighting.

Tonight I ate somewhere new- The Captain's Grille at Yacht Club and it was great food, great service etc but the best part... the beads!

So I *was* going to watch Endeavor launch from Top of the World tonight but due to lighting that has been postponed at least till tomorrow... So I went through my pics to find a laugh and well this is what happens when you worry about taking the pic of the giraffe that was awfully close and not realize what way said giraffe is facing... Alas its sadly the best pic I ended up with so you get what you get :)

Better late than never... So tonight I ate at Sanaa which is the new restaurant in Kidani Village (DAK Lodge) and WOW was it good... I was a bit hesitant but I shouldn't have been worried as everything was amazing. Afterwards we headed to the MK and rode pretty much everything we wanted to with little waits (and rode the monorail!) until the MK closed at oh 2 am...

Ill post more pics of Sanaa tomorrow but I'm exhausted

My all time favorite show at WDW was Tarzan Rocks! at Animal Kingdom... I will never admit how many times I saw the show (or how many times I still watch it via DVD or YouTube) and I will not admit to the framed picture I still have on my desk...

10 years ago today it opened- 3 years ago it closed and I still miss it (and will forever hold a grudge to the Nemo musical)

(and if you are wondering why the weird picture- Tarzan sadly pre-dates my digital camera so all I have of my pics here are from one of my scrapbooks..)

Just catching up on my week- Monday night was spent at DAK, which I love as the park is usually not open after dark. Riding Everest in the dark is AMAZING as is simply wandering. Since I didn't know I'd be headed there before I left home I only had my little camera which doesn't deal with dark as well hence the lack of great shots (Really getting spoiled with my SLR)

Today was spent at the Studios. When the rain hit while visiting the Animation Gallery- I "encouraged" the group to hit the Animation Academy.. They all enjoyed it and I could recognize Eeyore on everyones paper... I am always amazed that mine are recognizable as even my stick figures usually arn't... Hence why Im a scrapbooker and not an artist

The 'rails are flying again.

I didn't realize how much I had been affected by this until I saw Green running the 'rails and the sheer joy of seeing us return to a "new normal". By the time I left they were running the standard amount of 'rails on all beams (though I only saw 1 on Epcot but I also didn't follow that beam today on my way home like normal) and I'm pretty sure Green will have its own special place in my 'rail world now.

So today was a rough day as a former 'railer and as a lover of the Monorails (especially of Monorail Purple) to see the beams sit silent in the aftermath of the accident. Most of the day was spent in discussion, speculation and pure disbelief trying to comprehend it all.

Happy Fourth of July aka Happy Fireworks Day!

So tonight I was lucky enough to see 3 fireworks shows (2 just happened to be at the same time) We started at the Poly beach to see the MK show again (I have *never* seen that many people on the beach before!) which was almost more amazing to see there than in park due to the 2nd launch point in the lagoon and *all* the perimeter shells (Hence why that made pic of the day vs Epcot)... Then we booked it to Epcot to see Illuminations (since it won over the Studios) though hadn't figured on being able to watch all the Studios show from where we were standing during the first part of Illuminations (which was distracting) More pics will be posted tomorrow but as I have to be at work fairly early...

Happy Almost 4th of July! Tonight I headed to the Kingdom to see their fireworks show and see the "new" Hall of Presidents and I wasn't disappointed by either- I was *very* impressed with the new HOP show (in fact saw it twice tonight) and absolutly loved the fireworks (200+ pictures later) and while I couldn't pick them all as pic of the day- look over >>> for a link to more pics from tonight

The sky was so pretty tonight as I left and I realized its been what 2 weeks since a monorail picture and figured you'd all need one by now :)
