Today was Food n Wine day and all in all it was a great afternoon/evening-

I hit the Greek (twice), German, Austrian, Brazilian and South African booths and loved all but the Brazillian one...

So last night was fun except for when at 8:57 (park closed at 9) the skies decided to downpour and so it was awfully busy and I took the register I was on from oh 50 transactions to 270 :) It was entertaining shutting down the registers as I haven't done it that way in a *very* long time (and I thought I'd be the last one finishing by far but guess my slow is still fast for them :P)

So I've had the theme song from Parade of Dreams stuck in my head all day... and yes this is my favorite part of the parade :)

I know you must all be thinking about why this is pic of the day but for the first time since I've worked here at the 'temp I figured out how to get pictures to the Daily Event board (and quite frankly didn't know it was possible!) so yeah its pretty neat to me... Course I figured it out with oh 4 min left on my day so tomorrow will be fun playing around making it work better...

While at Epcot tonight its pretty obvious Food and Wine starts this week- While I don't like it as much as Flower n Garden or Christmas its still a pretty fun event

There are new signs everywhere!

So today I noticed that property is getting a lot more directional signs to the point its almost OVER done... I would estimate atleast 20 new signs went up from anything from new MERGE signs to resort & DTD info (and that is just on Epcot Center Drive and the small part of World Drive I see everyday!)

Guess you can tell someone had some budget money they needed to blow since the fiscal year ends soon...

So the fireworks are getting earlier and earlier and it was fun to watch them from the cast lot and see the 2 different launch points... Wish the camera would cooperate with the 2 points it was trying to pick one not both...

and no the castle did not explode tonight

Spent the evening at the Beach Club which was great- though I forgot to take any pictures there (shock I know!) so alas its the thought that counts...

So it now seems that the only form of Disney transport to stay OUT of the news this year is oh the boats... I am glad I was off work before the whole "lets shut down all the busses" thing happened...

Today in honor of it being 8 years ago today I earned my wings as a monorail pilot, I decided I wanted to go ride the rails... I parked at Epcot (as I needed to end there) and hopped Blue to the TTC where I was then met with *this* sign.. of course it had to be oh 1:00 so I walked to the Poly and the Grand then headed over to POP for cheesecake... I haven't heard the reason for the closure but I am keeping my ears open...

Today I came up with a small gift idea for a friend that is moving and so spent the day digging though all my cds to find all the Disney songs I have in german.. I had forgotten I had so many so have had a great day listening to Zwei Welt (Two Worlds) Einmal (Someday) and about 30 more... I may have to finish the night by watching Cars, Pirates or Narnia auf deutsch (My laptop now plays Region 2) I miss being more active with the language

(and I am beginning to realize how much time I spend at Epcot after looking at this weeks pictures...)

Just another night working F! Food side this time so I'd be more than able to sell you an overpriced box of popcorn, an almost 6 dollar tiny hot dog or many other delectable (yawn) goodies...

Today the group we had is having a huge birthday party and after seeing the balloons, cake etc made me wish I'd had a later shift tonight.. Alas we still got cake (though not theirs..)

Sigh I know its September but I still can't believe that the Halloween parties start tomorrow... Can't we just enjoy things before we start celebrating holidays?!?

So tonight while at Epcot I noticed that the Cantina menu (The quick service in Mexico) had been "updated" and I'm sorry I have huge issue with chicken nuggets being available on the kids menu (not to mention the reduction of other food available)

Sigh I hate the idea that Disney bought Marvel. I really do but I'll play nice and welcome them to the family but since my house is a Marvel free zone this will have to do...
