Tonight I get to go hang with the Pirates (and the Pals though I don't know who they exactly are..) as I am "officially" training to be a super greeter for the Pirates n Pals Voyage..

So today was the last day of the Lemonade Stand- It did tolerably well but I do have to say I am *so* tired of this view...

They would have listened to me in the first place instead of figuring out today what I've said all along is right, which has ended up with me working a split shift so the 'stand would be open later than 4 pm...

So today on Day 2 of the 'stand and about 5 hours into the boredom I started reading the nutritional facts of the different items we sold and something surprised me (no comment.) Between the top 10 candy bars (Twix, Snickers, M&Ms etc) the nutritional values are all *very*similar with about a 50 point max calorie difference between bars... Total Fat/Saturated Fat was pretty similar too, yes some were higher or lower than others but overall it balanced between all facts

Never would have figured...

Oh and odd trivia.. Didja know each Peanut M &M is about 12.5 calories?

So round 2 of Pete's Lemonade Stand made about 40x more than it did last week... I was going to take a photo but forgot till it was all put away so that is why its now a pic of the apron I get to wear all week... Fun times

So today I was lucky enough to go on a behind the scenes tour of the Seas... It was pretty neat with a walkthrough of the ride, tidbits and trivia about the pavilion and the tanks (and Hidden Mickeys), changes from the Living Seas to Nemo, and a bunch of other things I never knew.. It was pretty fun and makes me appreciate the pavilion so much more..

So I spent the evening working at the R n R Coaster Shop (now I can say I've worked both Ops and Merch of a ride) which was fine except apparently I was the *only* Extra Hour kid who READ the requirements cause the rest of them didn't know how to work Photo... So I ended up most of the night there (which actually wasn't bad after I remembered HOW to do it- Its been almost 2 years since I worked Buzz Imaging...)

Course I now have Aerosmith stuck in my head...

So this picture is actually from yesterday when I hit the Studios to see LMA (Lights Motors Action) and Epic (Indiana Jones) as I realized I hadn't seen them in a long time (umm years?) and since today I went to the *other* Studios in town (Pics will be posted on the side bar soon) you get one of my favs from LMA...

So today I had to be at work before the sun came up (literally!) and was greeted by the sight of the castle's winter lights being hung /tested and wow did it look pretty (even though its only about half done..) and I *know* this picture doesn't do them justice but my cameras both had issues trying to focus that far away... I promise a better pic in November...

What I *really* want right now...

Sigh- I do have to say this "Intervention!" Meeting was not near as fun as one we had at 'Mart back in the day, course we just had Round 1 today... Next week is Round 2 so who knows- If I do not post a picture next Thursday by about oh 8 pm someone PLEASE come either rescue me or help hide the evidence (KIDDING!)

This past week I've been digging through pictures so I can attempt to catch up scrapping and was very excited to find a folder of pics I had thought were long gone on an unmarked CD (Yes I learned my lesson..) so decided to share one of my favorites- I know most people are glad the wand is gone but I miss it for photographic reasons only...

So I realized today that next time at in Disneyland I need to take more pics of the Mansion as it took 7 CDs to find one and its not in my preferred format (least I like the picture)...

So I know its a few days late but alas Bay Lake Tower has officially opened making us officially the "Toaster and the Sandwich" hotel (If you don't get it- the 'temp often called the toaster due to its shape, and then Bay Lake Tower or BLT... yeah we are that desperate for laughs now days)

Every week the florist comes and changes out all the fresh flowers and they are always the pale boring colors so today I was joking around and mentioned that she should use some bright colored floral once in a while... Well a little while later she comes and gives me these flowers asking if they are bright enough

Works for me..

I realized today how much I still miss the club, and while walking by today hearing so many guests ask each other what the building was and all I could think was "its now just an empty building but there used to be incredible magic there"

Just another "oohh look at what I never noticed before working there" post... I spent the last 2 days working at DAK Main Entrance Merch and noticed the lanterns that line the pathways to the front... I like them (and want one of them..)

Welcome Welcome Welcome to the Big Blue House...

I was introduced to Bear, Ojo, Treelo, Pip n Pop, Tutter and Luna back in 01 when it was the only thing on when I got ready for work in the morning and soon came to have a (large) soft spot for the series... He had his own show at the Studios till it closed 8 years ago today and then a part of the Playhouse Disney show for years.. Now Bear is just a memory (and I have never seen the new show) but I am still proud to say I own every Bear and the Big Blue house pin in existence (all 11 of them) and have Bear's autograph...

Work only turned into a 13.5 hour shift tonight which included working the new Pirate n Pals Voyage... Not too shabby (and can I say I love when we get the topiaries and the castle set in house- Its so neat!)

Somedays I wish they'd start issuing language tags for 'English' like they do with all the other languages... It'd save a bunch of hassle some days as I get tired of being asked over and over if I speak Spanish, when I reply no I get the roll of the eyes as they walk off.. I may not speak Spanish but I do speak German...

Happy August (can I ask where April, May, June and July went?!?) So today it was not raining (or threatening to rain) when I got off work but my desire for beignets won out over my desire to hit a park...
