Another night of working F! which turned out far better than anticipated because a) it didn't rain b) I wasn't stuck in strollers c) It was hours which aren't plentiful now days and the best part d) I GOT COOKIES!!! (Thanks to Stacey! Finally found a great perk to being a Convention kid...)

Its crazy though in one weird way its the end of an era tonight- as it was the last time I'll ever wear the teal F! shirt as they will be switching to the better yet blander Idol shirts... It was the first costume I ever wore at WDW and the first that has changed completely for any costume I've worn...

(and no comments on the fact I switched to Central Time so I didn't end up with 30 days of May and 31 days of June!)

Happy 15th Anniversary to the Wilderness Lodge!!

So not only did I end up with both the regular *and* the Cast pin for today I also ended up with a really nice poster they had made. Not bad! One day I will need to stay here though- People think I'm crazy its my favorite resort hands down but I've never stayed there...

Things that make you laugh: When you follow a Magical Express bus 99% of the way home from work, and no I don't live along the path they usually travel- this one was a ways from home..

Tonight is the 'Partners In Excellence' recognition dinner at work (Hence why its 10:30 and I'm not at work) which should be fun... (Itll be interesting to say the least- esp as 4 of the 5 of us haven't been there for 2 days and we don't necessarily trust the 5th to keep things under control...) but either way we'll have fun and at worst there will be stories to tell forever...

*warning nostalgic ramblings ahead*

9 years


9 years today I've been posting on LP. Where did time go? Oh well, I wouldn't change a thing (well okay I'd ban a few posters for the mental health of all of us, and I'd love to know my true post count since I seem to always be hit hard in the archives) but I am very glad to have been a part of the community there and blessed to have met so many awesome people, most of who I call friends. LP has changed over the years but the core essence is still there and so are the friendships (and its still my home page!)

I was thinking this week after tripping down memory lane looking at meet pics trying to decide which LP "meet" was my favorite, and I couldn't decide. They all had their moments (both good and bad) but from my first official meet (the Mrs Nurmi's key lime pie at Fantasia Gardens) to the WDW birthday meet in 2001 to the July meets of 02/03/04/05, to the Dec 06 WDW meet, the Utah meets, Jack taco runs, all the little meets in between, and simply hanging out with my friends.

Thank you for the memories! I would try to name everyone but alas I think there is a word limit and I know I'd forget someone...

9 years done- here is to 9 more!

Its *still* raining.. though not as bad as earlier this week but seriously- blue sky, sun is it too much to ask?

So you know its rainy when an event moves to its 3rd rain backup location... What was supposed to be on the Fort Wilderness beach moved to the Pavilion, which then got rained out, so ended up at the Contemp, which was great as they had really good food (and amazing cobbler!) and it livened up the boring afternoon...

One of my fav "Disney Freak" moments was when I met Wayne Allwine (and his wife Russi) at the official LP July meet in 2004. Wayne provided the voice for Mickey (and his wife, Minnie) It is sad to hear of his passing and he will be missed.

One of the things I've liked most since the revamping of the parking lots is the little white flowers cause they smell great (and I'm not usually a liker of floral scents)

4 parks in 1 day = Easy!

So I couldn't decide what park to go to today cause there was something in each I wanted to do, plus the ever "is it possible" topics that pop up so I tried and finished atleast 4 things in each park within 10 hours with no fast passes (except for proof of each park) and spread things out across all parks. Only 1 ride was a complete walk-on with the rest about a 15-25 min wait

Happy Birthday Fantasmic!

Disneyland's Fantasmic is hands down my favorite thing at ANY of the theme parks (WDWs is another story..) and I generally create it with the beginning of my Disney obsession (which means I've been a fan for about 16 years now- scary!)

Sitting waiting as the sun goes down along Rivers of America with a few Banyan Beef skewers from Bengal BBQ is a beautiful thing.

Its amazing how many times you can visit one shop and never notice the HUGE mickey statues inside... Yes it took working in Mickey's of Hollywood to notice the 3 large statues... No comments please :P

Stupid Clouds... Use your imagination to see the Shuttle Atlantis launching behind the clouds from California Grill... We saw the shuttle for just a blink of an eye before it disappeared but a great sight...


It was still a fun "Meeting" we held up there :)

Happy Mother's Day!





Okay before *anyone* yells at me or takes any offense... I mean *no* disrespect to anyone (especially my mom..)

Its just the lack of 'mother' characters/references in the parks (and Disney in general) had me drawing a blank, so it was either this or Lady Tremaine (Evil Stepmother) from Cinderella... Yes once I got home I realized Nala from Lion King but I am not driving all the way to Epcot to get a pic of the topiary (and somehow I don't have any pics here...) so alas- Have a great laugh

So today was "nothing going on so lets find projects for the concierge day" so we got to have *loads* of fun in the linen room.. Everything is now put away and organized.. sigh

Happy Pins-day! So today was the cast pin sale and well I had fun *whistles innocently* but I have zero guilt because at the last 2 sales I spent a combined total of 6 bucks... add the fact I have only bought 1 pin since December I'm still being *really* good...

Hard to believe its been 4 years since Disneyland's 50th celebration kicked off on 05-05-05. I loved being there for the kickoff and the birthday (which I think wins as my all time fav DLR trip- and the longest) in July.

and you all thought you'd get a Cinco de Mayo post but alas I don't like eating in the Mexico pavilion so not going there today :)

So I met a kangaroo today while I was at work and no I am *not* crazy. I also got to meet a otter, possum, falcon, and a bunch of other critters I couldn't name.. One of our group's theme is Safari/Animal Kingdom and so for part of their reception we had all these awesome animals come to visit with their handlers. Oh how I wish I could've gotten a picture...

The sign of the times... So everywhere at work is covered with these signs and an infinite supply of purell and the Cast 'hub' is filled with updates and information, still Im not worried...

So today I was sent on a spy mission to MK to photograph some of our tables before they came back (They were used at MK for an event- and there were reports of damage..) and I could've had atleast 5 of the coolest 'picture of the day' but alas because I do follow the rules, I can't use them... (2 of our trucks parked *in* Frontierland, Adventureland Veranda etc) so alas you are stuck with an overexposed pic of Adventureland... Sorry :)

Happy 20th Birthday to the TPFKADMGMS (Theme park formally known as Disney MGM Studios) or Hollywood Studios...

At least Studios received the same treatment as Epcots 25th and DAK's 10th with its requisite 4 banners, pin release (I do think 12 different LE pins is too much- hence why I didn't buy one.. Ill take my chance with them ending up at a cast pin sale) and guide map for the day.. I remember when they used to get attractions and a celebration (oh wait the park did open an hour early...)
